We have a Ducane MPGA Series gas furnace that is three and a half years old. The circuit board and Smartvalve crapped out which in turn let our house freeze in the Chicago metro area. What a disappointment. It is now going to cost more than I paid for the furnace to repair it and all the broken pipes.

We’ve had nothing but problems with Ducane model CMPE series, (CMPE 10044B). Purchased it in Nov 2005, had problems with pressure switch and now 7 weeks after 5 yr warranty expired the motor is dead and we are looking at a $700 repair. wish I had never bought this brand but we can’t afford $4000 to replace it. Stay away from DUCANE!
